Arean calendar

Description

Here's an example of a calendar which a tourist to a Martian colony might receive upon their arrival.
There are several similar Martian calendars out there, because the simplest way of dividing the martian year into twenty-four months, to make them similar in length to ours, gives five months of 28 days plus one of 27 in each quarter.
my input was to use base twelve numbering, called duodecimal, or dozenal, to number the calendar.
I also greatly dislike most calendar proposals, as they have names for the month that are real handfuls, several syllables long. I think a simpler form will be easier to adapt to. I thought to use the signs of the Zodiac, and since that only gave twelve names, to add in those proposed for the calendar of the French Republic, but translate them into simple English equivalent terms. I decided to give the same treatment to the signs of the Zodiac, for consistency.
this gives very simple names, roughly identified with seasons on earth, with a few exceptions... (what exactly *is* a "sea-goat"?) ...and chose "Aquifer" for Aquarius, the water-bearer, both too shorten it, and because I think aquifers might be important on Mars. (Aquifer means water bearing, anyway, so... )
the decision to use Dozenal notation was a notion on my part that the colonists might want to use it instead of decimal, as it makes fractions easier to deal with... (there are much fewer repeating fractions in duodecimal base.)and since you are starting things fresh, why not truly start fresh?
I wanted to use symbols accessible from my keyboard, so I used the eth (looks like a six with a dash on the ascender) and the German double ess to represent ten and eleven, respectively... but most dozenal systems use an upside down two for ten, and a backwards three (looking like e)
